Switch Linux Kernel Version
After upgrading the NVIDIA GPU driver from version 550 to 575 on my machine, the system fails to boot successfully.
Booting into Safe Mode (by holding the Shift key during startup) with the current Linux kernel (5.15.0-144-generic) does not provide internet access, even when explicitly enabled. This is likely due to a network driver incompatibility.
Reverting to the previous kernel (5.15.0-139-generic) allows the system to boot normally (without Safe Mode) and have access to internet. Reinstalling the NVIDIA driver, while ensuring support for both kernel versions, enables use of the updated driver on the older kernel.
After that, uninstalling and reinstalling the latest kernel (5.15.0-144-generic) resolves the issue.
This issue may not be directly related to the NVIDIA GPU driver upgrade, but rather a simultaneous upgrade of the Linux kernel.
